CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR – Rated PG-13 – MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS
Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olson, and Tom Holland
As we venture into MARVEL’S next SUPERHERO EXTRAVAGANZA – the “Powers that be” of our federal government have decided it’s time to pull in the reins of our many SUPERHEROES, limiting their rights amongst us mere mortals…
Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), and his followers, Including the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), War Machine (Don Cheadle), the Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Vision (Paul Bettany) ~ and their newly recruited youngster, Spider Man (Tom Holland) ~ are all bound and determined to follow the NEW RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, limiting their presence and interference in the outside world…
Yet, there are those superheroes that feel this limiting of their power to help their fellow man is a grave injustice ~ forcing Capt. America (Chris Evans), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Ant Man (Paul Rudd) to join forces as well, proving that they are all here on earth for a reason, and that is to use what ever powers they have for the epic battle of good vs. evil…
As the War between our heroes rages on ~ and devastating circumstances from the past are finally revealed ~ Will #Team Cap and #Team Iron Man be able to work out their differences in the end, or is this epic battle just the tip of the iceberg for what lies ahead…?
I give CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR a rating between: MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN & WAIT AND CATCH IT ON DVD ~ Okay, so I know everyone is heading out to the theaters this weekend to catch this EPIC MARVEL MOVIE ~ one, because it is the only movie popping this weekend, and two, we have to keep up the pace of where all of our Superheroes are headed next, but, I just couldn’t call this one a definite MUST SEE ~ and WHY YOU ASK??? First off, it was WAY TOO LONG!! I realize for some of us who haven’t had the opportunity to catch all of Marvels previous films leading up to this, have to get a little back story. That’s great, but for me, this part of the film was way too long and drawn out. Second, it seemed to move at a snails pace getting to the point of our Superheroes finally coming to blows…and third, not that I don’t think CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR turned out to be an entertaining film, as it is, but I found myself comparing it to my FAVORITE SUPERHERO MOVIE OF ALL TIME ~ (I saw it 4 times in the theater and literally can not wait for the Director’s Cut to hit on DVD) – DEADPOOL – which translated to this PG-13 rated Marvel movie coming across really subpar. They definitely raised the bar earlier this year…which translated to a rather diminishing excitement factor in my eyes, as I left the theater wanting MORE!!! But, if you love MARVEL’s SUPERHERO FLICKS, then you most definitely have to get a move on to a theater near you to catch CAP and the rest of our SUPERHEROES IN ACTION…but if you are thinking this is going to be more exciting, more engaging, or more fun than the last Marvel movie you viewed, you are going to be disappointed ~ just know that going in…
