Writer & Director – Ryan Coogler
Writer: Joe Robert Cole
Starring: Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman, Winston Duke and Dominque Thorne
As the world of Wakanda mourns the untimely death of King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), it seems that all of Wakanda must ban together, as an evil force emerges, as the powers of the world question the motives of Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), and her people…
And as all of Wakanda stands behind the Queen, and Princess Shuri (Letitia Wright), as they try to lead their people as best they can, it seems another force amongst them is unleashing it’s fury…enter the serpent of the sea Namor (Tenoch Huerta), and his own band of followers, who also want nothing more, than to rule the world of Wakanda as we know it…
With tensions high, and little time to mourn the passing of the great T’Challa, it seems that Shuri’s behind the scenes scientific breakthrough’s just might come in handy for everyone’s survival, and new kid on the block Riri ‘s (Dominque Thorne) genius might come in handy too, as the ladies of Wakanda try to make things right for all Wakandans, as the turmoil and torment from the outside world, just keeps crashing down upon them…

I give BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER a rating of 5 out of 5 Stars: I think this is only the second film this year that has garnered my attention the whole way through, as Writer and Director Ryan Coogler proceeds to put together a fabulous way to pay to tribute to the life of King T’Challa, while forging a fabulous new path for the Black Panther franchise! Angela Bassett should be Queen of the world, not just of Wakanda, but in real-life, as she once again gives an exceptional performance in this Black Panther sequal. Letitia Wright also gives a more mature performance this time around, as she attempts to come to terms with her brothers death, while remaining steadfast to her own beliefs! I was also excited to see a couple of cameo appearances, that were perfectly crafted throughout, keeping my attention too, just when things seemed to be slowing down. And suffice to say that once again, don’t be picking up and leaving the theater until a few minutes after this film closes, because in typical Marvel fashion, this one has a post credit scene that you don’t want to miss, because that scene in itself will tell you everything we need to know moving forward. And even with all these fabulous performances, and accolades I’m sending Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s way…know too, that there are moments when you truly miss Boseman’s presence in this film, and when you also might shed a tear or two, once Rianna starts sharing her fabulous vocals at the end of this films soundtrack. There are also a few times throughout this film you will find yourself wanting to gasp for air, literally, while we are taken down a path or two, that none of us saw coming. My only real distraction as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever unfolds, was the casting of Namor. I mean if you are going to bring me a man from the sea, can you please at least make him half as good-looking as DC’s Aquaman, as no offense meant to Tenoch Huerta, but this casting feels totally off, as can he really compete with all those totally incredible, butt-kicking women of Wakanda…I say NOT! But, even with this small misstep in the characters, I still think Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is moving us forward to Black Panther sequels for a very long time…and besides this small glitch, I think it is totally an incredible film that everyone should head out to the theater to see, on the biggest screen you can find!
