As we venture back into the world of the Jedi…Rey (Daisy Ridley) has found the allusive Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), as she tries to lure him back to assist in the Rebellion, and aid his sister Leia (Carrie Fisher) once again…
Meanwhile, as Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) faces his own issues, both past and present, at the hands of his commander Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis), it seems that the Force is growing stronger amongst many in the Rebellion with each passing day, bringing friend and foe alike to face their own internal demons, and what lies ahead for them as the war between good and evil rages on…
I give STAR WARS VIII: THE LAST JEDI a rating of MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN – With the flash of an iconic light saber, STAR WARS VIII: THE LAST JEDI transports you into its multidimensional storyline and the fabulous nostalgic feel of days gone by, within the Star Wars Universe. Hamill is superb in this film, as I enjoyed him more now, than I ever did “back in the day”. Seeing Fisher finally on the big screen as her most iconic character, after her untimely passing, was even more surreal than I had imagined as well. Even Driver managed to pull me on board with his portrayal of Kylo Ren, as in STAR WARS VII, I wasn’t so enamored with the selection of casting him in this pivotal role. Ridley, Isaac and Boyega are all just as enjoyable as the last time we met, bringing the entertaining aspects of each of their characters even more to life with each passing frame! Suffice to say that I think this film is the BEST STAR WARS FILM YET…as it brings together feelings and images of the past, as it continues with its marvelous storyline, and with characters we can’t get enough of. So be prepared to venture into previously charted, and vastly unchartered territory too all throughout this film…as we now have to sit and wait in anticipation for what lies ahead… in STAR WARS IX…
