Nut Job 2

THE NUT JOB 2 – NUTTY BY NATURE – Rated PG – 1 hr. 31 mins.

As we venture back into the squirrely world of our friend SURLY (Will Arnett), many of his comrades who joined him for his first adventure are back again this time too, including his smart and nuttingly beautiful friend Andie (Katherine Heigl), and Mole (Jeff Dunham), Jimmy (Gabriel Iglesias), Johnny (Joe Pingue) and Redline (Rob Tinker) too.

Struggling to find his place back amongst the trees, since his commercialized nut shop is no more, Surly’s finds that this new – yet old – lifestyle is not at all what it’s cracked up to be…

And to make things even worse, it seems that the park Surly and his friends want to live in is about to be demolished – thanks to the mean and nasty Mayor of Oakton City (Billy Moynihan), as he plans on erecting his very own, substandard amusement park…

Now it’s up to Surly, Andie and all the gang to come up with a way to stop the Mayor, and save their new home from total annihilation…

I give NUT JOB 2: NUTTY BY NATURE a rating of WAIT AND CATCH THIS FILM ON DVD OR NETFLIX! Even though I love Will Arnett, and have become rather fond of Katherine Heigl’s performances too over the years, the NUT JOB 2 isn’t filled with anything really extra…as exceptional animation (NOT!) or a super-exciting storyline (HARDLY!). I think that the children around me while viewing it were rather bored too, as they seemed to be slightly intrigued by Surly returning to the big screen at the beginning of this film, but by 30 minutes in, the natives were growing restless, and I do mean ALL OF THEM. I truly think that this film would be bettered viewed by your youngsters in a closed, home environment – as if there are any distractions in the theater while you’re there, Surly and his friends don’t drum up enough action or excitement to you’re your children’s attention, thus causing you to spend way too much to see just a so-so animated feature that they won’t even remember…
