ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS – THE MOVIE – Rated R – 1 hr. 30 min.

Starring Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley, Kate Moss, LuLu, Gwendoline Christie and a slew of others…

Based on the Cult Classic TV Show in the UK from 1992-2012, we meet Edina (Jennifer Saunders) trying to make it through life as a PR Consultant, but jobs have been scarce for a while now. When her BFF and co-hart in craziness Patsy

(Joanna Lumley) finds that Kate Moss needs a little PR boost for her career, leave it to Edina to search out England’s Top Model, and try to convince her that she can make everything better for career ~ if given the opportunity…

I give ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS a rating of DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY: I was so excited about seeing these ladies in action, and was hoping that they would amp up the volume of their shenanigans to make something truly magical for the big screen. Unfortunately, this was not the case. It seemed as if they were holding back from their original comedy, maybe to make it more viewable for the main stream, but if you are going to make an R-rated movie, lets go for the gusto, shall we! What ended up on the screen was a film less funny, less charming, less everything than the moments that appeared on the little screen with their show. And sadly too, parts of this film seemed to go no where, adding to my disfavor in viewing it as well, thus leaving me to suggest that you don’t bother with this one, as it’s just a big mess of BLAH!
