Starring Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Zac Efron and Chloe Grace Moretz
Back for more fun in the ol’ neighborhood, it seems that Mac (Seth Rogen) and Kelly (Rose Byrne) are outgrowing their home, and have secured a buyer to take it off their hands. Now, once their 30-day Escrow has come and gone, they can head to their NEW BIG HOUSE right across town…
But hold on a minute ~ not so fast, ~ as it seems that the FRAT house that’s been sitting empty next door, may have found its new occupants at last ~ when Sorority sisters Shelby (Chloe Grace Moretz), Beth (Kiersey Clemons) and Nora (Beanie Feldstein) need to find a new place…
When our BLAST FROM THE PAST Teddy (Zac Efron) seems to have found his way home, he steps up to help these sisters live out their dreams in his old stomping ground.
Things don’t play out quite as expected, I know, your surprised by that fact… ~ as Mac and Teddy must join forces to get their neighborhood back ~ from these “Maidens of Mayhem”, these “Girls with THE TUDE”…who are actually worse that those Frat boys from a few years ago ~ who knew???…
I give NEIGHBORS 2: SORORITY RISING a rating between MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN or WAIT AND CATCH IT ON DVD ~ Efron is fab, Rogen is too, and Byrne holds her own as well in this funny sequel to the 2014 original. From the first frame to the last, you will be laughing your “you know what off” ~ imagine that…so why the less than perfect rating you ask?? Even though it is billed as BETTER THAN THE FIRST, I can’t quite agree, as some of the antics went way beyond – even for me. Moretz is good, as are her side-kicks in crime, and I will say that I haven’t laughed as much as I did watching NEIGHBORS 2, in quite some time, but the premise of this film gets old rather quickly, so I didn’t enjoy it as much as the 1st one, even though Efron’s six-pack is still screen worthy…so, if you love Efon, and Rogan, and Byrne very much too…then head out to catch this one on a big screen near you…but if politically incorrect pandemonium isn’t your cup of tea, then waiting to view this one when it hits on DVD, may just be your ticket…if your asking me J
