Writer and Director Jeremy Saulnier takes us deep into the underground world of punk rock, and the outlandish lengths that some club owners will go to, in order to make sure that what happens at their place, stays at their place…THIS IS GREEN ROOM!!!

Trying to help his friends band find gigs wherever he can, Tad (David W. Thompson) manages to secure a money making show ~ finally ~ in an establishment frequented by Neo Nazi skinheads, and other lovers of this music genre…

Not sure of their surroundings in the backwoods of Virginia, things start to feel rather uneasy very early on for Pat (Anton Yelchin), Reece (Joe Cole), Sam (Alia Shawkat), and Tiger (Callum Turner), but the music must go on…

When Pat ventures by a room, and witnesses a murder, it seems that everyone in the band is now under siege, as no one is allowed to leave that has seen anything…

As bar owner Darcy (Patrick Stewart) and his Managers Daniel (Mark Webber), and Gabe (Macon Blair), try to formulate a plan to extinguish all their witnesses, it looks like no one is safe from perishing, in this desolate wasteland of a place

I give GREEN ROOM a rating of: WAIT AND CATCH THIS ONE ON NETLIX OR STREAMING. Okay, so let me get straight to the chase, Horror films are not usually my genre of choice, but I tried to stay open-minded while viewing this film anyway. Yelchin is good, Poots is too, and the few glimpses we get of Stewart are perfectly creepy and nasty as well. But, between the gapping holes in the storyline ~ for example ~ if you are held up in a bar, filled with alcohol, wouldn’t you find a way to torch the place in order to save your own skin?? Or why isn’t the very large bouncer at least attempting to try to keep those who want to kill him at bay??? Plus, I found I couldn’t get beyond the EXTREME GRAPHIC VIOLENCE every step of the way. Which leaves me to suggest that, if Horror films aren’t your thing either, then wait and catch GREEN ROOM on your small screen, without spending too much moolah!!!
