“My dear Miss Everdeen, make no mistake, the game is coming to its end…”

Frances Lawrence directs his third consecutive film in the Hunger Games Series, bringing us to the final decent, as we venture into major war against the Capital ~ in the hopes that there will be victory for all of mankind when we’re through ~ THIS IS THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY Part 2.

As we return to see a very ill and demented Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), fighting against the mind control from the Capital ~ the MOCKINGJAY/Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is still holding out hope that Petta can be saved…

While the war rages on, and President Snow is still manipulating his way to utter annihilation of his people, President Alma Coin (Julianne Moore) is coming up with a few alternate plans of her own ~ which include letting Katniss spread her wings and fly to the Capital to destroy Snow…

While Katniss is attempting to rally the troops of all the sectors, Gale (Liam Hemsworth) becomes even more distraught over the fact it looks as if he may not be the man for Katniss after all…

As Snow tries desperately to destroy Katniss and her comrades who have joined her on her crusade to the Capital ~ it seems that Coin may have a thing or two up her sleeve, that no one, not even Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman) sees coming…

I give THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY Part 2 a rating of MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN ~ Come on, it’s the FINAL COUNTDOWN – so how else are you going to see this film, but at a theater near you, and with all your friends in tow!!! Lawrence is once again superb as Everdeen, showing that she can kick booty and take names once again ~ although, her feminine side does make an appearance or two this time around ~ which always make her character more appealing to me… Hemsworth and Hutcherson are both as incredible as always, pushing to see who will finally win over Katniss’s heart in the end. Moore and Sutherland are also on their game as the portray the Presidents vying to take over the sectors once and for all, plus, add in the small, but eloquently portrayed last view of Hoffman as Plutarch (tear) and you have the perfect ending to the perfect series – as it even manages to give you a Birdseye view into Katniss’s future too…YEAH…which gave me the EPIC GRAND FINALLY I WAS SO HOPING FOR 😉
