It’s been two year since we’ve last hung out with Max (Patton Oswalt), and his furry friends, and it seems that Max and Duke’s homelife has changed quite drastically, in such a short time.  With a new family, and a new playmate for them to enjoy too, Max and Duke seem to be enjoying the perfect life.  When Max and Duke get to join in on the family vacation this Summer, Max must leave his old friends to hold down the fort back home, as he meets many new critters on road, including Rooster (Harrison Ford).  As the adventures back home are getting crazier by the minute, it seems that for Max and Duke, their shenanigans on vacation are too, as all of our favorite furry friends must make the most of their exciting Summer, regardless of where they are hold up next…

I give THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2 a rating between MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN and WAIT AND CATCH THIS FILM ON DVD!   Oswalt does a fabulous job, stepping in as Max (in place of Louis CK) for this really fun sequel.  And if you loved Snowball, aka Kevin Hart as much as I did in the original film, get ready to be blown away by how he is “da man” totally throughout this film too.  I was also excited by the addition of the Harrison Ford as Rooster ~ the bold and boisterous country dog ~ and the addition of Tiffany Haddish as Daisy, as the powerful female dog on a mission.  From the joy that exuded all throughout the theater from the youngsters in attendance, who were giggling and cheering throughout, to the multi-dimensional, and hilariously heartwarming storyline, to the fabulous characters  – both old and new – THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2, is definitely the perfect family film for anyone in your family to view this weekend.  I mean, even my 19 year old daughter was laughing her “you know what off” the whole way through,  and if you’re a parent, you know that that is a feat in itself to accomplish, no matter what the situation, thus proving that THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2 will put a big ol’ smile on your face too, no matter what age YOU are!
