PEPPERMINT – Rated R – 1 hr. 42 mins.

DIRECTOR:  Pierre Morel

WRITER:  Chad St. John

STARRING:  Jennifer Garner, John Gallagher Jr., John Ortiz, Juan Pablo Raba, Cailey Fleming and Jeff Hephner

As we meet young mom Riley North (Jennifer Garner), she is trying to be “The Best Mom EVER” trying to keep both home life, and her career on track…

When Riley loses the two most important people in her life, she decides to seek revenge on not only the people who took them from her, but those who kept these ingrates from receiving the justice they so rightfully deserved…

I give PEPPERMINT a rating between MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN and WAIT AND CATCH THIS FILM ON DVD:  I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed viewing this film, as it definitely ended up having the ALIAS feel I was so hoping it would.  I was also intrigued by the fact that even though Jennifer Garner is 12 years older than she was when she played Sydney Bristow, she is just as fierce, if not more, in this vigilante film role!  The only negative for me throughout this film, was the very easy to read storyline, even though the action, and suspense did hold my attention with every passing frame.  All-in-all, PEPPERMINT was so much better than the trailer eludes to, and if you loved Garner in ALIAS during its 5-year run on the small screen, then you better head out to catch it, and Garner, on the big screen this weekend…
