PITCH PERFECT 3 – Rated PG-13 – 1 hr. 33 mins. – MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

Director:  Trish Sie

Starring: BELLAS Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Hailee Steinfeld, Ester Dean, Hana Mae Lee, Kelley Jakle, Shelley Regner, Chrissie Fit, plus Elizabeth Banks, John Michael Higgins and John Lithgow

As we must come to terms with this being the LAST CALL for our PITCHES…we follow Becca (Anna Kendrick), Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) and the rest of the Bella’s, when they decide to do a USO Tour overseas for our troops, as their last hurrah in their world of singing acapella!!

And what better way to showcase our ladies FINAL TOUR, than to have our favorite judges Gail (Elizabeth Banks) and John (John Michael Higgins) doing a documentary of their final shows throughout Europe…

When it seems that Fat Amy’s absentee father is trying to reconnect, our Bellas aren’t quite sure if this dude is for real, or not…as they also attempt to face the realities that the other bands that are performing with throughout this tour, have the advantage of playing and using instruments, wreaking havoc on their acapella sounds, and all of their self-confidence…

I give PITCH PERFECT 3 a rating between MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN and WAIT AND CATCH THIS FILM ON DVD!  Now if you have loved the Bellas from the start, you know you are headed to a theater near you this weekend to catch those melodic tones no matter what I’m about to say…but if you know in your heart that this is going to be the best PITCHES movie of all time, you’re in for a rather sad realization once you view it.  Kendrick, Wilson, Steinfeld and Snow are tuned to perfection as always, but between the pretty lame intertwining storylines, and the less than fabulous memorable acting from quite a few of our Bellas, and Banks and Higgins too…I just wasn’t totally sold on this LAST GO ROUND, although the teenagers who joined me to catch the advanced screening seemed to be rather excited about this film.   Which leaves me in quandary you see, but I still must say that for me PITCH PERFECT 3 attempts to end its existence in a rather entertaining way, as these ladies all move on to bigger and better things…but it wasn’t at all the ending I was hoping it would be…
