As we venture back to the track with our favorite racer Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) for a 3rd time, it seems that his style of racing is obsolete ~ as racers like Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer) are hitting the scene, with their new aerodynamic body styles and piston-packed engines.
So what’s a #1 NASCAR Racer to do, but to head back to Radiator Springs to lick his wounds ~ and to get his mojo back ~ as he reminisces about his old mentor, the Hudson Hornet (Paul Newman), and enlists the help of old pals Sally (Bonnie Hunt), Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) and the rest of the gang, to get him back in the game…
Realizing that it’s going to take everything he’s got to get back into the top spot, McQueen journeys to a high-tech, super advanced racing center, filled with everything he’ll need to become #1 again! McQueen quickly finds that even with all the high-tech training, he’s going to need the assistance of a few new friends this time around as well, including his trainer Cruz Ramirez (Crisela Alonzo) and veteran racer and crew chief Smokey (Chris Cooper) too…
I give CARS 3 a rating of MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN and in 3D too! Talk about getting your VROOM, VROOM, On – this 3rd installment is as fabulous as the 1st, bringing us back into the life of our favorite NASCAR Racer Lightning McQueen! Back too are all of his pals from the past, and some new super-awesome friends along for this joy ride too! This film will totally Rev-U-Up all along the way…from its perfectly crafted animation, to its perfectly crafted storyline by Writer and Director Brian Fee (he worked as a story board artist on CARS and CARS 2 previously, so they saw fit to put him in the Driver’s seat this time, and oh what a smart move that was!!!) – to hearing the voices of Belleville’s own Lea DeLaria and St. Louis’s own Jenifer Lewis – KACHOW!! – this film made me giddy the whole way through, and is destined to be another CLASSIC DISNEY MATERPIECE (he he) I’m certain too! And the fact that they made this film G-rated speaks volumes as well, as now everyone in the family, from the youngest to oldest, can view and enjoy this latest PIXAR /DISNEY creation. You will find that every minute of this film, from the starting gate to the finish line, is nothing shy of TOTAL PERFECTION!
