I give RULES DON’T APPLY a rating of MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN~ This film was everything I was hoping it would be, and so much more! From the ambiance and glamour of 1950’s Hollywood, to the apropos storyline of Beatty playing his predecessor playboy in Hollywood, Mr. Howard Hughes, this film is absolutely perfect in each and every way! I had to snicker at the fact that Beatty wrote himself into this particular role when I read the synopsis, but once he appeared on screen as the dashing and debonair Hughes, I was totally sold, hook, line and sinker! Ehrenreich and Collins are perfectly cast too, along with all the other key roles that are filled by incredible stars from that we know, and love. I so hope that come awards season there are lots of them coming by way of this film, as its cast, its storyline, its music, even its’ Directing are truly superb. There is only one other film this year that stole my heart just a little bit more, so make sure to hit a theater near you this weekend to catch RULES DON’T APPLY, as this film is a definite MUST SEE and there is no other way to do it, than ON THE BIG SCREEN!
