POPSTAR: NEVER STOP NEVER STOPPING – Rated R

Starring Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer, Imogene Poots, Bill Hader, Sarah Silverman, Pink, Adam Levine and a slew of other stars…

As we follow real-life writers, directors and actors, and life-long friends Samberg, Taccone and Schaffer – from their SNL and THE LONELY ISLAND gigs to big cinema film-making…we meet CONNER4REAL (Andy Samberg) and his best friends and boy band counterparts Owen (Jorma Taccone) and Lawrence (Akiva Schaffer), setting out to rule the music world, that is, before there super crazy boy band breakup!!

Still trying to find his way in the music biz, Conner4Real heads into a super ambitious solo career, showing the world that he’s got it, with or without his best buds by his side.

When Conner’s 2nd solo album hits the skids even before it starts to rise, it seems that even his manager Harry (Tim Meadows), can’t stop Conner’s world from hitting rock bottom, no matter how hard he tries…

With Conner’s celebrity unraveling, and all his of so-called friends baling as fast as they can ` it may take a miracle ~ or at least his two best friends ~ to get their boy band, and these friendships…BACK TOGETHER AT LAST…

I give POPSTAR a rating of MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN ~ okay, I know, your thinking – IS SHE KIDDING?? And no, no I am not..As I loved every single minute of this film – full frontal nudity and all!!! Samberg, Taccone and Schaffer ~ with “a little production assistance” from Judd Apatow along the way too, made a super hilarious film, that is so wrong, yet so real – I didn’t want to miss a minute of any of the incorrectness they were about to unveil. From its too many cameos to count, to its ultra “how did this get an R-rating feel” you will absolutely love all 1 hour and 26 minutes of it, and its younger viewer appeal. Kudos to THE LONELY ISLAND guys for the creative and comedic genius that exudes from every frame of this totally inappropriate masterpiece, as it pokes fun at our pop culture ridden lives every step of the way…and I liked it!!!
