Director Michael D. Lee takes on a comedic and many times provocative film, bringing to the big screen what I would call “one heck of a good time”…THIS IS GIRLS TRIP!

In an attempt to reboot their pretty screwed-up adult lives, we meet college friends Ryan (Regina Hall), Sasha (Queen Latifah), Lisa (Jada Pinkett-Smith), and Dina (Tiffany Haddish), heading to the Essence Festival in New Orleans for some much needed R & R.

R & R? You must be joking~ as Dina has way too many shenanigans planned for her bff’s on this trip, as we watch these ladies figure out a way to get their “Freak on” practically around every turn…

And as our girls seem to find a way to make each moment of this GIRLS TRIP count, they also find that the most important relationships in this life don’t involve the men in our lives AT ALL. The most important relationships for us as women are with our girlfriends, as they ALWAYS have our backs!!!

I give GIRLS TRIP a rating of MUST SEE ON THE BIG SCREEN!!! This film is not only the funniest film I have seen all year, but the raunchiest film too! Lee brought the incredible screenplay of Blackish’s Kenya Barris, BARBERSHOP: THE NEXT CUT’s Tracy Oliver, TROLLS Erica Rivinoja and LEGALLY BLOND’S Karen McCullah to life ~ LITERALLY ~ as I can’t remember a time in the last year where I have laughed so hard, or   as often!!! Hall, Latifah, Pinkett-Smith and Haddish are all perfectly cast, as these ladies don’t blink and eye with the content of this film, even though I might have blushed personally a time or two, and   thinking that some of that might have had to do with the fact that my 17 year old was enjoying this film as much as I was J I’m telling you, if you’ve been waiting for a film that’s not only FUNNY, but FUN, and that steps right over the edge of what I might call ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR, then most definitely head out to a theater near you this weekend to catch GIRLS TRIP – it’s truly A TRIP…and then some!!
